The Seventh Annual EOD/IED and Countermine Symposium
This symposium will examine the US’s whole of government approach to detecting, mitigating and destroying explosive devices at home and abroad. It aims to highlight important research and development efforts aimed at countering the use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). This event will also examine the strategies and training practices for successful explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) missions in both domestic and international contexts. Speakers from across the military and federal agencies will share their perspectives on the necessity of interagency and international co-operation and intelligence sharing to effectively counter IED threats.
At the event, it is hoped that participants will gain education and insight from senior level speakers on the most complex issues facing the IED community. The agenda is designed to allow for networking opportunities and the discovery of new technologies being introduced, with interactive sessions where insight and knowledge can be shared.
The event runs from November 6-7 and will be held in Virginia, USA.
