 The Global Disaster Relief & Development Summit returns to Washington D.C. 

The Aid & International Development Forum would like to announce that the 9th annual Global Disaster Relief & Development Summit will be held in Washington D.C. at the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Centre on September 6-7. 

The 9th annual Global Disaster Relief & Development Summit strives to improve effectiveness, cost-efficiency and sustainability of aid operations and development programmes by bringing together regional as well as global expertise from NGOs, government, UN organisations and private sector specialists. 

The agenda will focus on innovations and technologies that help strengthen disaster resilience, early-warning systems, and best practice in emergency communication, data collection and mapping. It will also address topics such as disaster and climate change, post-disaster settlement planning and shelter assistance.
