William S Becker

William S Becker is Senior Associate, with Third Generation Environmentalism (E3G), an international sustainability think tank based in London, Berlin, Brussels and Washington, DC. He is former Executive Director of the Presidential Climate Action Project, which developed energy and climate policy recommendations for the 2008 US presidential campaign and the Obama Administration. Mr Becker is an international expert on sustainable community development, with an emphasis on helping disaster-stricken communities rebuild with advanced designs and technology. A former journalist who began his career as a decorated war correspondent in South Vietnam, Becker’s most recent book, The 100 Day Action Plan to Save the Planet, was published by St. Martin’s Griffin in New York
