fishIn our current edition Claire Sanders summarises the salient points from the UN’s report, ‘Frontiers 2022: Noise, Blazes and Mismatches,’ which explores emerging issues of environmental concern. The report addresses the harmful effects of noise pollution and how certain measures can mitigate this, noting that there are shortcomings in how policymakers are addressing noise pollution.
 
Next, wildfires are examined, and how training, education and indigenous knowledge all have a major role to play. Finally, the report looks at phenological shifts and how climate change is inextricably linked to such shifts in the timing of life cycle events of animals, birds, insects, trees and other flora.
