2 weeks to the Summit

London First’s second Global Resilience Summit 2016 is now fast approaching.

Please join us and the discussion on Delivering City & Corporate Resilience.

The summit will take place on Wednesday 19 October 2016, in Westminster, at the QEII Centre.

The aim of the summit this year is to advance the understanding, leadership and benchmarking of resilience in major cities like London. It will focus on the key issues of organisational, reputational and digital resilience that demand Board-level attention in managing long-term risks from shocks and stresses in communities and corporates.

In summary, we have a very interesting line-up of speakers who will address topics relevant to your organisation, including:

International terrorism and the recent attacks in New York –  presented by Gregory W. Ehrie, Special Agent in Charge, Intelligence Division, Federal Bureau of Investigation
London as a resilient city – covered by the new Deputy Mayor at City Hall responsible for policing and crime in London, Sophie Linden
Coping with shocks and stresses in France and Lebanon –  with speakers who know about dealing with major incidents - Christian Sommade, Executive Director, French High Committee for Civil Defense, Sebastien Maire, Chief Resilience Officer, City of Paris and Dr Bilal Hamad, Former Mayor City of Beirut

At the summit, we will also be launching Resilience in Business Districts – A London First product and app to help the private sector, and there will also be a session on community resilience.
